STEPHEN LANE

Starting his career in 1992 and opening his first hair salon in Manhattan's East Village in 1999, Stephen Lane gained interest in adding hair to clients' heads using extensions. Once he found his love for hair extensions, he wanted to conquer and learn how he could help his own thinning hair by working with scalp prosthetics and hair pieces. After closing his Manhattan salon to move closer to his family in New Jersey, he decided to open Suedehead Studio, his private studio in Monmouth County to concentrate on helping those with similar situations. With certifications from Great Lengths, Hairlocs, Mark on Madison, and Hairskeen (just to name a few), Stephen focuses on realistic hair to match his clients' lifestyles.

"The studio is so cool, edgy and trendy! Definitely the coolest hair salon I have ever been to! After my first visit, I already know this will be my new place from now on."

JASON V

“Beyond amazing! I literally can’t say enough wonderful things about Stephen, his work…everything. I will never go to anyone else and I’m married to a stylist!”

JESSICA O

"I normally do not leave reviews but I must leave one for Stephen. Mind you I travel over two hours from New York to come and see him for my haircut and extension. I have been a client of Stephen for over 18 years! I absolutely recommend him as he is very thorough and professional and an excellent hairstylist!"
